제목 Novel Strategy to Control the Orientation of Block Copolymer Thin Films using Gold Nanoparticles with Tuned Surface Properties
초록 The polymer/inorganic nanoparticles (NPs) nanocomposites have attracted great interest due to their great potential to diverse applications such as solar cell, sensors and ferroelectric devices. In our previous work, we successfully synthesized thermally-stable Au NPs using UV-crosslinkable polymer (PS-b-PSN3-SH) and the crosslinked AuNPs exhibits excellent thermal stability. Also we demonstrated that the Au NPs can be used as compatibilizers in PS/PMMA homopolymer blends. In this work, we demonstrated a novel strategy to control the orientation of PS-PMMA block copolymer thin films using the thermally stable gold nanoparticles with tunes surface properties. To control the interfacial interaction between PS-b-PMMA and Au NPs, we further tuned the surface properties of Au NPs by adjusting the composition of MMA and styrene during the synthesis of ligands. The thin films morphologies were characterized with AFM and the lateral and vertical profiles of Au NPs were inverstigated with TEM.
