Na+-beta-alumina is well known as an efficient sodium ionic conductor that can be used as the solid electrolyte of sodium-sulfur batteries. β″-Al2O3 contributes to the higher ionic mobilities than β-Al2O3 because of the different crystalline structure between two types. Thus, in this study,for increasing fraction of β″-phase, Na+-beta-aluminas were synthesized by solid state reactionaccording to calcination temperatures and compositions. Each specimen was characterized by XRD(x-ray diffraction), SEM(scanning electron microscope) and PSA(particle size analyzer). |
