제목 Synthesis of Porous Material Using Photo-polymerized Discotic Liquid Crystals by Hydrogen Bonding
초록 The discotic liquid crystals (DLCs) were synthesized through the self-assembly of the intermolecular hydrogen bonds between the 1,3,5-trihydroxybenzene (phloroglucinol, PG) and derivatives of Phenyl-pyridne. The compound shows mesomorphic and columnar phase.
The complexes with two types of photo-polymerizable units such as diacetylene and acrylate were polymerized by UV irradiation in the LC phase. The polymerized diacetylene and acrylate moieties can be estimated by FT-IR spectroscopic analysis and the structural characterization of the compound was carried out by the X-ray diffraction.
The porous material can be made by the removal of the phloroglucinol core in the base condition. The porous material made by photo-polymerized DLCs may be applied in many fields such as separation, catalysis and the composites.
