Oily wastewater produced from our daily life and industry poses a threat to ecosystems and human health. Superhydrophobic or superhydrophilic materials have been developed for efficient oil/water separation. The purpose of most oil/water separation is cleanup of spilled oils. A little attention has been focused on collection of spilled oil using oil/water separation techniques. Furthermore, collection techniques of Benzene, Toluene, and Xylene (BTX) that are expensive and highly toxic are very important for environmental and economic reasons. To the best of our knowledge, however, it has not yet been reported. We have developed a novel unmanned evaporation and collection system using solar oil evaporation. |
