제목 Transparent Nanocomposites of Self Assembled Block Copolymer and SWNTs with Low Electric Resistance
초록 The nanostructures of block copolymers are of great importance since they are useful for fabrication of nanocomposites with the functional materials such as quantum dots and single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWNTs). First we propose two novel methods for dispersing SWNTs in organic solvents. One is based on treatment of SWNTs with block copolymer micelles. The micelles of an amphiphilic block copolymer physically absorbed on the surface of SWNTs provide good stability of the nanotubes in both non-polar and polar solvent. The other is the control of the SWNT dispersion with a series of poly(styrene-b-butadiene-b-styrene) copolymers containing side-chain polarity modifier. Furthermore, we present a new way for fabricating a transparent thin film of block copolymer/SWNT composite with low electric resistance. The doping of various metal salts in the selective block copolymer nanostructures significantly enhanced the conductance more than two orders of magnitude in the composites with SWNTs.
