제목 Biodegradable polymeric microsphere formed by phase separation
초록 Biodegradable microsphere has been prepared for the sustained delivery of paclitaxel using parenteral route based on the enhanced permeability and retention (EPR) effect. For this purpose, paclitaxel-loaded poly(D,L-lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) microsphere was prepared by phase separation with the solvent evaporation. The microsphere was characterized by particle size analyzer for their size and size distribution and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) for their surface morphology. The loading efficiency was measured by high performance liquid chromatograpy (HPLC). Biodegadable microspheres showed a narrow size distribution and an average diameter of less than 1.0㎛ and the loading efficiency was approximately 85 %.
