This study introduces a robust and straightforward approach for fabrication of novel colloidal pressure sensors. For this, uniform polyurethane elastomer microparticles having different deformability were produced by using drop-based microfluidics and consecutive photopolymerization. Then, the particles were evenly coated with carbon nanotubes by using the layer-by-layer deposition. Finally, we have experimentally demonstrated that our conducting elastomer microparticles can be used for precision pressure sensing with excellent sensitivity and repeatability. |
