제목 NOx Reduction by CO over Ir-based Bimetallic Catalysts
초록 Nitrogen oxide (NOx) cause the various environment pollution such as smog, acid rain and fine particulate matter. Hence, NOx regulation has been continuously tightened due to its harmfulness, so that the necessity for developing de-NOx related technologies has emerged. In this study, we developed a catalyst that uses carbon monoxide (CO) as reducing agent instead of urea which is currently used in the NH3 selective catalytic reduction. Specifically, bimetallic catalysts were prepared by co-impregnation of iridium and transition metals on alumina support. In particular, the Ir-Co catalyst showed much higher de-NOx performance than Ir only and other Ir based bimetallic catalysts. It was found that the highest de-NOx performance was obtained on Ir-10Co catalyst where Co loading was 10 wt.%.
