Thermoelectric device(TE) is expected to be a new electrical energy harvesting method from waste heat. The performance of thermoelectric materials is defined by figure of merit(ZT=σS2T/κ), where S is the Seebeck coefficient, σ is the electrical conductivity, and κ is the thermal conductivity. Although inorganic materials have been leading material for TE, these days conducting polymers are one of the possible materials due to having good electrical condcutivity, low thermal conductivity and easy proccessibility. In one of them, poly(3,4-ethylenedioxylthiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate)(PEDOT:PSS) is also a good candidate. In this study, to imrove the conductivity of PEDOT:PSS, we use simple treatment method of orgaic solvents(DMAc,DMF,DMSO and NMP) on the top of PEDOT:PSS film by spin coating. We investigate the Seebeck coefficient and conductivity of treated PEDOT:PSS film. The effects on PEDOT:PSS based on the AFM, UV-vis, Raman and XPS measurement results will be discussed. |
