제목 Fabrication of Omniphobic Surface through Amidation of Dopamine and Perfluoromolecular
초록 We attempted low wetting and transparent surface using Dopamine/Perfluoromolecular compound that can exhibit Omniphobic property. There are two key factors for Omniphobic surface that surface energy and surface roughness. So having a low surface tension perfluoromolecular (Perfluorooctanoicacid and 1H,1H,2H,2H-Perfluorodecyltrimethoxysilane) was used for low wetting, because fluorocarbon tails of perfluoromolecular are less susceptible to the London dispersion force than hydrocarbon. Also, if placed in a solution of dopamine at slightly basic pH, it will become coated with a layer of polymerized dopamine. Polydopamine coatings can form on objects ranging in size from nanoparticles to large surfaces. Therefore, this experiment can fabricate Omniphobic surface using dopamine and Perfluoromolecular through amidation and coating. This material has many potential applications such as smudge-free touchscreen, improving liquid transport and self-cleaning coating.
