In this paper, Cellulose-based carbon nanofibers were manufactured through an electric spin in cellulose acetate (CA) and direct fluorination at room temperature for 10 minutes and a carbonization process at 800 ℃ for 1h. The fluorine functional groups introduced into the CA nanofiber were introduced by fluorination which caused diacylation in the cellulose acetate fibers. Deacetylation of CA nanofibers prevents the melting of cellulose acetate during carbonization. The introduced fluorine functional groups also increased the carbonization yield and thermal stability of the CA nanofibers. scanning electron microscopy (SEM), x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) analyses were conducted to analyze characteristics of electrospun CA nanofibers. |
