제목 Functionalization of Carbon Molecular Sieve (CMS) by PEI and preparation of Pt/PEI-CMS as a catalyst in PEMFC
초록 Carbon Molecular Sieve (CMS) was synthesized in the nano-channels of zeolite Y as a template characterized by an extremely large surface area with uniform micropores and a long range ordering. In order to strengthen the binding between Pt nanoparticles and CMS, polyethyleneimine (PEI) was functionalized to CMS surface. Transmission electron micrograph (TEM) analysis shows highly uniform deposit of Pt nanoparticles onto xPEI/CMS (x = 0.0, 0.1, ..). Various MEAs fabricated with different Pt-xPEI/CMSs were tested for cell performance in PEMFC and the durability test was also conducted to investigate the effect of PEI functional groups on electrochemical active surface area (ECSA).
