제목 Surface immobilization of PMMA-b-PEG on polydimethylsiloxane and evaluation of cytotoxicity in vitro
초록 It demonstrates a simple coating method to immobilize PMMA-b-PEG on polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) which is a promising packaging material for an implantable biosensors. PDMS has good mechanical properties and, thermal and chemical stability that a coating material requires. However, it is very hydrophobic even in aqueous environments and needs to improve its wettability for a variety of applications in spite of such advantages. We chose PMMA-b-PEG, a terpolymer based on hydrophobic and hydrophilic structures, which attaches diverse surfaces due to its amphiphilicity. The PDMS surface was coated with PMMA-b-PEG solutions at various concentrations. Contact angle was measured to observe stability of PMMA-b-PEG on PDMS, FE-SEM and AFM analysis were performed to observe surface morphology. MTT test was also performed to confirm the possible cytotoxicity of PMMA-b-PEG in vitro.
