제목 Influence of silica elimination on rice husk derived activated carbons for methane storage
초록 In this work, we prepared activated carbon (AC) derived from rice husks using physical activation and silica elimination. The silica particles in rice husks lead to providing extra-porosity by silica elimination. Potassium hydroxide (KOH) used for silica elimination and steam activation used for physical activation. The structure informations of the activated carbons were confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns. The N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms and pore size distributions were measured at 77K and calculated by Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) and non-local density functional theory (NLDFT). Elements compositions of samples were measured by energy dispersive X-ray diffraction (EDX). The methane storage capacity was investigated by BEL-HP at 273 K, 35 bar. From these results, methane storage was enhanced with increasing specific surface area by silica elimination.
