제목 Pluronic F127/PVA Mixture with Sol-Gel Transition Behavior as a Tissue Adhesion Barrier Material
초록 There are many requirements for anti-adhesion gels to be used as tissue adhesion barriers. They include non-tissue adhesiveness, biodegradability, sterilization stability and non-toxicity in the body. In this study, we prepared LCST-controllable Pluronic F127 and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) mixtures to be applied as a coatable or injectable tissue adhesion barrier material. The Pluronic F127 gel is expected to have anti-adhesion property. The PVA may act as an absorption retarder of Pluronic F127 gel in the body via hydrogen bonding. The prepared Pluronic F127/PVA mixture gels were stable in gamma irradiation for sterilization and showed stability more than 7 days in PBS solution or body fluid. The gels were also showed effective tissue anti-adhesion as evaluated by the postsurgical peritoneal adhesion behavior through animal study using a rat model.
