Electrically conductive elastomers capable of substantial elastic stretch and bending are important materials which can be applicable as EMI shielding, smart clothing, flexible displays, stretchable circuits, and strain gauges. Carbon nanotubes (CNT) have been shown to be attractive fillers for achieving electrical conductivity of polymers as well as enhanced mechanical properties at relatively low CNT contents. In this study, MWNT were incorporated into Nylon12-b-PTMG multiblock copolymer thermplastic elastomer by a solution mixing. Microstructure, thermal, mechanical, and electrical properties of the nylon elastomer/MWNT nanocomposites were investigated. |
