Nowadays, environmental pollution has seriously issued all over the world. For this reason, green technology has been paying attention. Among various technologies, we've concentrated on the ion exchange membrane technology. Because of the ion exchange membrane's superb selectivity to specific ion. Two step condensation polymerization were progressed to synthesis the triblock copolymer. Dimethyl 5-sulfonisophthalte sodium salt(DMSIP), 1,6-hexadiol(HDO) and isophthalic acid(IPA) were used as a base material. ion exchange membrane were prepared for using UV curing system with DMSIP-HDO-IPA. The structure of DMSIP-HDO-IPA was confirmed with FT-IR and 1H-NMR. GPC was used for measuring molecular weight of synthesized copolymer. Membrane basic properties were measured such as electrical resistance, conductivity, ion exchange capacity(IEC), and water uptake. |
