제목 Mechanical and Rheological Properties of Poly(lactic acid)/Epoxidized soybean oil/3-amino-1,2,4-triazole blend
초록 Poly(lactic acid) (PLA) is produced from renewable resources and is readily biodegradable. Due to the brittleness of PLA, it has limited usage in the packaging and structural applications which require flexibility. In our previous study, PLA is successfully plasticized by using epoxidized soybean oil (ESO). In this study, 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole (ATA) is incorporated into the PLA/ESO blend by melt mixing in an internal mixer. Tensile test revealed that elongation-at-break is increased significantly with small amount of ATA accompanied with the decreased in modulus. Melt rheological analysis showed that viscosity increased with the addition of ATA.
