제목 Simultaneous Enhancement of Light Extraction and Device Stability of Organic Light Emitting Diodes from Corrugated and Continuous PEDOT:PSS film
초록 we demonstrate a simple and efficient method for enhancing the light extraction and device stability of organic light emitting diodes by incorporating polystyrene nanospheres (PS NSs) into a poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) hole-injection layer (HIL). By embedding large size PS NSs compared with PEDOT:PSS thickness, corrugated and continuous PEDOT:PSS film (PS NSs-PEDOT:PSS) was produced spontaneously via one step fabrication. Remarkably enhanced light extraction was demonstrated in corrugated OLEDs such as 8.5 % of external quantum efficiency, 30.9 cd/A of current efficiency and 8.6 lm/W of power efficiency. Furthermore, the corrugated device shows Lambertian emission pattern without serious distortion or angular dependence of emission spectra. The ambient stability of device using PS NSs-PEDOT:PSS HIL was also significantly improved by a factor of 4 compared with the control device due to the utilization of only small amounts PEDOT:PSS in HIL.
