Core–shell structured particles are a class of composite materials that have recently received great attention owing to their synergistic properties between the cores and shells. The composite structure also can show the new properties depending on the interactions between the cores and shells. Such unique, useful and controllable properties have also advanced the material a very important class of emerging materials for a wide range of applications in optical devices, environmental sensing, tailoring magnetic properties and catalysis etc. In this study, we would introduce surface engineering techniques used for the synthesis of various core-shell structured particles and their applications. |
