제목 | Fabrication of polymer nanomaterials using microemulsion polymerization |
초록 | The ability to selectively tune defects, electronic states, and surface chemistry has motivated the development of a variety of methods to fabricate metallic, inorganic, and polymeric nanoparticles. While metallic and inorganic nanoparticles with dimensions of around 1 nm are routinely made, polymer nanoparticles with dimension less than 10 nm have not been reported. Here we demonstrate the selective fabrication of polypyrrole nanoparticles as small as 2 nm in diameter as well as polyaniline nanomaterials using microemulsion polymerization at low temperature. In addition, polymer core/shell nanomaterials and hollow polymer nanospheres are also fabricated by a surfactant-mediated methology. Using these polymer nanomaterials, some applications will be presented for fusion technoloy of NT/IT and NT/ET etc. This low temperature microemulsion polymerization may provide a facile way to synthesize new polymer nanoparticles, and might be expanded to allow the fabrication of ultrafine metallic and inorganic particles, which embraces the concept of 'nanaoreactors'. |
