A novel cationic moiety incorporated PLGA nanocapsules for Transdermal drug delivery |

In order to improve the skin permeability of negatively charged drugs like genistein, the cationic moiety incorporated polymer nanocapsules were suggested as a drug carrier. Negatively charged drugs were successfully loaded in the nanocapsules by ionic conjugation between negatively charged drugs and incorporated cationic groups. The genistein loaded poly(D,L-lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) nanocapsules were effectively penetrated through the skin without causing side effects. Size and morphology of nanoparticles, genistein loading efficiency, a quantity of amine, toxicity of aminated PLGA, the In-vitro drug release, and zeta potential were investigated. In-vitro and In-vivo skin penetration tests were also carried out to demonstrate the improved skin permeability of the genistein loaded PLGA nanocapsules. |
