제목 Influence of Intermolecular Interaction of Small Molecule Donors on the Molecular Packing and the Performance of Organic Electronic Devices
초록 We investigated the effects of intermolecular interactions in electron-donating small molecules on their structural, optical, and electrical properties, as well as their performance in organic electronics. A series of small molecule donors was synthesized by introducing different terminal groups of ester and amide groups combined with three different versions of side alkyl chains. Small molecule donors with amide terminal groups experience strong intermolecular interaction by hydrogen bonding with non-destructive manner, in comparison to those with ester terminal groups. In addition, in order to control the intermolecular distance in the assembly and thus fine-tune the intermolecular interaction between the small molecule donors, three different side alkyl chains were introduced into small molecule donors. The molecular packing and orientation of small molecule donors were dramatically changed. This feature significantly affected their performance in organic electronics.
