TiO2 has been applied to photoelectrode of DSSCs due to its low cost and wide band gap. In order to obtain high energy conversion efficiency of DSSCs, high crystalline structure of TiO2 is required to diffuse the electron quickly. Also, both large surface area and pore characteristics are significant to increase the amount of adsorbed dye. These factors are affected by morphology of particles. In this study, the echinoid-like, nanorod-type, and spherical particles were prepared by modified sol-gel method. Then, the efficiencies of DSSCs which were fabricated with the synthesized particles were compared. |
