Effects of additives on thermal and mechanical properties of poly(lactic acid) |
초록 |
The degradation of poly(lactic acid)(PLA) during thermo-mechanical processing at high temperature caused poor thermal stability and mechanical properties which have the limited range of applications. To improve the thermal and mechanical properties of PLA, novel additives were used via reactive extrusion process. The PLA/additives blends were characterized by gel permeation chromatography, differential scanning calorimetry and universal testing machine. The result showed that the elongation increased whereas the molecular weight reduction and glass transition temperature significantly decreased in the different concentration of additives as compared to PLA only control group. |
