A knowledge of the excess molar properties of liquid mixture is very useful to investigate the molecular interactions between solutions and to predict the solution behavior in other organic liquids. Excess enthalpies for 1,2-dichloropropane + 2-propoxyethanol, and + 2-butoxyethanol at T=298.15 K and under atmospheric pressure were measured by using an isothermal microcalorimeter with a flow mixing cell. The results excess molar enthalpies were correlated by the model of Redlich-Kister polynomial by means of Nelder-Mead's simplex pattern search method and were used to test the applicability of the local-composition models(Wilson, NRTL, and UNIQUAC)
