In this work, the hydrogen storage behaviors of ruthenium-loaded activated carbon fibers (Ru-ACF) were investigated as a function of Ru content. The microstructure and crystallinity were evaluated with XRD and TEM, respectively. The pore structure and total pore volumes of the Ru-ACF were analyzed by N2/77 K adsorption isotherms. The hydrogen storage capacities were investigated by BEL-HP at 298 K/100 bar. From theresults, the hydrogen storage capacity was increased in proportion to the Ru content. Therefore, it was concluded that Ru nanoparticles played an important role in hydrogen storage characteristics due to the hydrogen spillover effect. |
