Polyaniline (PANI) has attracted much attention as the one of the most promising active materials for supercapacitors, because of its high environmental stability, controllable electrical conductivity, easy synthesis, and low cost. Most of the methods used to produce PANI nanostructures are indirect and pass sophisticated process to apply the nanostructured PANI onto a substrate such as template synthesis, self-assembly, emulsions, and interfacial polymerization. In this report, for the purpose to straightly prepare nanostructure, we used electrochemical polymerization of aniline on the paper of polyacrylonitrile(PAN)-derived carbon nanofibers which were prepared by the method of pysical activation in carbon dioxide gas.
