Fabrication of Conducting Polymer Nanowire through Hard Template-Based Electrochemical growing Method |

Conducting polymer nanowires with high aspect ratio have been extensively investigated due to their potential applications such as field effect transistors, biosensors, organic photovoltaic devices, polymer nano actuator and drug delivery. One of the most promising methods is a hard template-based electrochemical polymerization method that takes advantage of control, simplicity and mass production. In this work, polypyrrole derivatives were electrochemically synthesized in anodic alumina oxide template controlling their aspect ratio with the electrical current passed. The synthesized polymer nanowire could be used as a template for making organic-inorganic hybrid materials. The synthesized polymer nanowires were characterized with AFM, SEM, FT-IR and XRD. |
