Preparation of Heterostructured NiO nanosheets/mesoporous TiN Film for Energy Storage System |

We firstly reported the incorporation of mesoporous TiN film with pseudocapacitive materials (Nickel oxide) for supercapacitor. Formation of pores was induced by micro-phase separation of PVC-g-POEM graft copolymer and selective interaction with titanium precursor (TTIP). The well-defined porous structure of meso-TiN could provide large surface area and facilitate the ion diffusion. High conductivity of meso-TiN film was also expected to enhance electron transport property of overall electrode. The NiO-NS showed porous structure because it was synthesized by agglomeration of tiny nickel oxide nanoparticles during hydrolysis process. The NiO-NS/meso-TiN electrode exhibited a pair of redox peaks during CV measurements, representing reversible redox reaction between Ni2+ and Ni3+. The synergetic effects of NiO-NS and meso-TiN film showed a high specific capacitance with excellent capacitance retention. |
