제목 Supramolecular Polymers of Propeller-shaped Aromatic Molecules
초록 Supramolecular polymers are macromolecules in which building blocks are connected through non-covalent linkages, such as H-bonding, electrostatic interactions, or π-π interactions. Because of these non-covalent manners, supramolecular polymers are dynamic and can change their structures or physical properties with chemical and physical stimuli. While various planar π-conjugated molecules are utilized as building blocks, supramolecular polymers consisting of non-planar π-conjugated aromatics are limited. Low symmetric order of non-planer molecules endows their assemblies with unique features such as macroscopic polarization and supramolecular chirality. We reported the supramolecular assemblies of corannulene, which also showed characteristic features in solid state.1 Here we report the novel supramolecular polymers consisting of propeller-shaped aromatic molecules. We will discuss the unique supramolecular chirality of their supramolecular assemblies.
