Solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) is a new electric power generation system with high energy conversion efficiency and less emission of pollutant. However, the shortage of using the YSZ in SOFCs is the high operating temperatures which is around 900-1000 °C. In the present work, in order to prepare anode material for low-temperature SOFCs, the mesoporous NiO-SDC was synthesized using a cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) for obtaining wide triple-phase boundary (TPB). The NiO-SDC samples were prepared by adding an aqueous solution of the proper quantities of cerium chloride heptahydrate, samarium chloride hexahydrate and nickel chloride hydrate to an aqueous solution containing surfactants. The results showed that the mesoporous NiO-SDC could be obtained and the surface area and the electrical performance were strongly influenced by the Ni content and sintering temperature for anode preparation. |
