제목 Effect of vanadium pentoxide mixed PEDOT:PSS for quantum-dot light-emitting diodes
초록 We demonstrated improved hole injection properties using PEDOT:PSS mixed with inorganic vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) for high performance quantum-dot light-emitting diodes (QLEDs). Devices were fabricated from each mixing ratio and annealing temperature to form a film for smooth charge injection. Effective hole injection characteristic of V2O5 mixed PEDOT:PSS hole injection layer (HIL) was observed at the hole-only-devices (HODs). The leakage current of the fabricated QLEDs was reduced. As a result, much improved efficiency was obtained in QLED devices using V2O5 (10:1 V/V) mixed PEDOT:PSS annealed at 150℃. The maximum current efficiency was 13.9 cd/A and the EQE was 3.1%, both of which increased by more than 600% compared to the control device. More importantly, the lifetime of the devices was increased due to the mixing of V2O5. These results demonstrate that transition metal oxide mixed PEDOT:PSS is an alternative to simple organic HIL for high efficiency and stable QLEDs.
