제목 Nanostructured POSS-Polyurethane Block Copolymer with Heat- and Water-Triggered Shape Memory
초록 The nanostructured shape memory polyurethanes including inorganic POSS molecules in the hard segments were synthesized, and their structure and properties were characterized. The POSS molecules served to improve the mechanical and physical properties by acting as a nanoscale reinforcement of polymer, and appeared to form nanoscacle crystals in the hard segment domains with the enhanced microphase separation between the hard and soft segments. Especially, the existence of POSS and polyethyleneoxide in polyurethane block copolymer, which has the hydrophobic and hydrophilic properties, respectively, was attributed to giving water-triggered shape memory as well as thermomechanical shape memory of samples. In this study, it is interestingly demonstrated that our POSS-polyurethane sample can possess the almost completely water-triggered shape recovery in water.
