제목 | Photodegradation of a Dye Reactive Blue-4 Using TiO2 Encapsuled Polycarbonate Beeds |
초록 | The removal of xenobiotic organics by using TiO2 as a photocatalyst has been extensively performed in various fields. TiO2 has many advantages such as high photoactivity, chemical/biological nonactivaty, low cost, etc. ; however, it has a difficulty in recovery. In this study, the degradation rate of Reactive Blue 4 in a batch reactor was investigated, using polycarbonate beads immobilized with TiO2 as a photocatalyst. The optimal composition ratio of polycarbonate and TiO2 was determined as 9:1 in these experiments. pH effect on the photodegradation was also investigated ; the removal efficiency was better in strong acidic and basic regions than in a neutral region. |
