Preparation of Nafion/silica hybrid membrane with low permeation of bromine for zinc-bromine redox folw battery |
초록 |
Redox flow battery has gained much interest in recent years. Because it has advantages of the energy efficiency, long life-cycle and low costs. In this study, Nafion/silica hybrid membranes were prepared by the solution blending with various content and size. They will be employed as the separator for zinc-bromine redox flow battery. The effects of silica contents and morphology were investigated by SEM, UTM and LCR meter. The bromine permeability of the membrane was measured with the UV-VIS spectrophotometer. The silica nanoparticles might reduce the permeation of bromine through the membrane and enhance the mechanical properties. It will extent the life-cycle of the redox flow battery. |
