Bisphenol-A type epoxy acrylate (EA) is very useful for many industrial applications such as coating, matrix of composite, and adhesives etc. It has a good adhesion, outstanding hardness, and chemical resistance. EA can be cured by electron-beam (EB) which has recently attracted interests due to its fast curing at room temperature compared to thermal and UV curing. Curing degree as a function of EB dosage/irradiation time has been studied, which was monitored by spectroscopic measurements. Mechanical properties such as tensile strength and modulus of EB cured resins and adhesion strength between polyimide films have also been studied. |
