Pregabalin (PG) is a gamma-Aminobutyric acid analog anticonvulsant and analgesic used for neuropathic pain and as add on therapy for partial seizures with or without secondary generalization in adults. In this study, PG was used as model drugs for the complex formulation as triple layer. PG was both extended layer and immediate layer. PG extended layer was prepared as a wet granulation method to delay the solubility and PG immediate layer was prepared by physical mixture. Characterizations of the prepared wet granulation and physical mixture were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), x-ray diffractometer (XRD) and differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). The in vitro drug release behavior of were also evaluated in intestinal juice (pH 6.8).
