Polypyrrole (PPy) and Silica (Si) were successfully formed as a nanostructured core-shell. In this work, the synthesized PPy/Si core-shells were used as symmetric electrodes for two-electrode supercapacitor. The morphology and structural properties of samples were determined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. The electrochemical properties of sample have been investigated using cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and galvanostatic charge-discharge test. The results of this paper have shown that the supercapacitor using PPy/Si core-shell as symmetric electrodes has mass capacitance of 69.020 F/g and power density of 300.08 W/kg through electrochemical analyses. |
