Electroconductive performance of polypyrrole/reduced graphene oxide/carbon nanotube composites synthesized via in situ oxidative polymerization |

The present study demonstrates a simple technique to obtain carbon nanotube (CNT) growth rapidly on the reduced graphene oxide (rGO) surface within just 10 s under ambient conditions via microwave assisted approach. A series of PPy/RGO/CNT composites were then prepared by loading with the different weight percent of RGO/CNT on the polypyrrole polymer (PPy) via in situ oxidative polymerization of pyrrole (Py) in the presence of dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid, which acts as a stabilizing and doping agent. The morphological, structural, and thermal properties of PPy/RGO/CNT composites were examined by SEM, TEM, FT-IR, XRD, UV, XPS, PL and TGA analyses. An enhanced conductivity was observed in the case of composites loading with GO/CNT content range from 1 to 5 % in compared that in individual PPy samples pressed at the same pressing pressure. |
