제목 Dispersion Polymerization of Acrylate monomers using GMA-linked PDMS Stabilizer in Supercritical Carbon Dioxide
초록 We previously demonstrated synthesizing GMA-linked PDMS stabilizer and applying the stabilizer to the dispersion polymerization of MMA in supercritical CO2. In this presentation, we report the polymerization of several acrylate monomers (MA, EA, BA, GMA) and styrene. The polymer products from MA, EA and BA monomers were obtained in a non-powder form due to the flexibility of repeat unit’s pending groups. The yields were much lower than those of GMA, which consisted of powder forms. The molecular weight and its distribution of each homopolymer are characterized. The thermal property and morphology of the polymers are also presented.
