제목 Dispersion Polymerization of MMA using GMA-linked PDMS Stabilizer in Supercritical Carbon Dioxide: Effect of CO2 pressure and reaction time
초록 We previously demonstrated synthesizing GMA-linked PDMS stabilizer and applying the stabilizer to dispersion polymerization of PMMA in supercritical CO2. In this presentation, we report the effect of two important process factors, CO2 pressure and reaction time, on the yield and properties of PMMA polymerized in CO2 using GMA-linked PDMS stabilizer. As the pressure increases, the yield, molecular weight, and particle size of PMMA product increase whereas the polydispersity decreases. The yield and molecular weight increase with reaction time except the case polymerized at extremely low initiator concentration. Effect of CO2 pressure and reaction time on the morphology of PMMA product, such as average particle size and particle size distribution, is also presented.
