Driven by the potential advantages and promising applications of Organic photovoltaics (OPVs), Donor-Acceptor (D-A) copolymers have been intensively investigated in the past years. Also, combining electron-rich and electron-deficient units to form D-A type of alternating polymers is the most widely used strategy to develop low band gap polymers. This strategy helps the polymer to have a broad absorption spectra. It is expected that polymer have a high power conversion efficiency. In this study, we synthesized effective push-pull type of low band gap copolymers with a benzo[2,1-b;3,4-b’]dithiophene(BDP) as a weak donor unit and a isoindigo as a strong acceptor unit via Stille coupling reaction. The synthesized polymer was characterized optical, electrochemical and photovoltaic properties, respectively. |
