제목 Synthesis of poly(N-vinyl pyrrolidone)-b-poly(ε-caprolactone) amphiphilic diblock copolymers by combination of ROP and RAFT polymerization
초록 Amphiphilic block copolymers composed of biocompatible hydrophilic and hydrophobic blocks have been attracted much attention as nano-sized carriers for poorly water-soluble drugs. In this study, biocompatible poly(N-vinyl pyrrolidone)-b-poly(e-caprolactone) (PVP-b-PCL) diblock copolymer was synthesized by combination of ROP and RAFT. PCL synthesized by ROP was first modified into macro-chain transfer agent (PCL-RAFT), and then RAFT polymerization of N-vinyl pyrrolidone was conducted using PCL-RAFT. It was found that this method could successfully produce PVP-b-PCL diblock copolymer with very narrow molecular weight distribution.
