제목 Fabrication of CNT AFM Probe for High Resolution Imaging and Their Applications
초록 The use of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) for AFM tip has been studied for various materials. Most of these applications require increased sharpness and robustness of probes. Here we describe a reliable method for generating CNT AFM probes prepared by using the Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique. We synthesized thiophenol-modified single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNT-SHs). We found that SWNT-SH bundles could be attached to AFM tips by the LB technique. Also, we measured various samples using the CNT tip. For example, Au colloid with 3 ~ 8 nm in diameter and standard sample with 1 um in depth and 1.5 um in width. From images obtained by CNT tip, we could know that measured image didn`t have any difference with real sample.
