The dispersion of graphene sheet in various solvent without the assistance of dispersing agents was confirmed according to the amount of hydrazine hydrate. To find maximal charge density on the resulting graphene sheets, we tried to disperse graphite oxide (GOs) and reduced graphene oxide (RGOs) in water or organic solvent which is different of polarity such as ethanol and dimethylformaldehyde. After, how different dispersion of each solution was confirmed when increased the pH from 2 to around 12 using NaOH and HCl. The GOs and RGOs were characterized by elemental analysis, XPS, UV-vis, and by electrical conductivity measurements. As a result, the direct dispersion of RGOs in water has a difficult. The conductivity of RGOs increases with increasng the amount of hydrazine, but the amount of hydrazine in 1 mmol founded that have the maximal charge density through a variety of dispersion tests in used organic solvent. |
