제목 A Giant Dielectric Constant of Nanostructured Dielectric Films Comprised of Self-Embedded Metal Nanocrystals at Room Temperature
초록 The dielectric behaviour of ferroelectric-metal bulk composites has attracted much attention due to extra ordinary dielectric enhancement. A giant dielectric constant higher than that of the bulk material was observed in the Bi2Mg2/3Nb4/3O7 (BMNO)-Bi nano-composite films comprised of a bismuth nanocrystal (~ 10 nm mean size) self-embedded in the BMNO films grown at room temperature. The BMNO-Bi nano-composite films sandwiched between protective Al2O3 layers showed a dielectric constant (~ 220) that was greater than that of its bulk material (~ 210) with a low leakage current density of about 0.1μA/cm2. On the other hand, room-temperature grown nano-composite films sandwiched between 40-nm-thick BMNO layers exhibited a dielectric constant of about 480 and a leakage current density of 0.1μA/cm2 at 5 V.
