The Preparation and Properties of Poly(ethylene terephthalate) / TiO2 Nanocomposites. |
초록 |
Many studies on polymer/inorganic filler nanocomposites have demonstrated that incorporation of inorganic filler into polymer matrix can result in significant improvements in stiffness, strength, thermal stability, antibiotic properties, and UV-blocking properties. Titanium dioxide (TiO2) was one of the most actively studied materials for a variety of applications. Poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) is a low-cost, high performance polymer that used in a wide variety of applications such as fibers, food and beverage packaging and engineering plastics. In this study, PET/TiO2 nanocomposite is prepared by melt blending of PET with different TiO2 content. The surface characteristics of PET/TiO2 nanocomposites were studied by FT-IR and XRD. Morphology and TiO2 particles distribution of the nanocomposites were observed by SEM. The mechanical properties and the properties of ultraviolet (UV) protection were investigated. |
