Gas permeation characteristics of CNT-carbon molecular sieve composite membranes |
초록 |
Carbon nano tubes (CNT)s were incorporated to enhance gas permeation and separation performance of carbon molecular sieves (CMS)s. CMS-CNT composites were prepared using direct mixing of CNT and poly (amic acid) precursors. Polyimide (PI)-CNT composites membranes were firstly obtained from these solutions by thermal imidization process. PI-CNTs were pyrolyzed up to desired temperature at an inert atmosphere to fabricate CMS-CNT composite membranes. The properties of the CMS-CNT composite membranes were characterized using X-ray diffraction, FT-IR, FE-SEM, mechanical tests, as well as thermal analysis. The gas permeability of CMS-CNT composites increased according to CNT contents with slight decrease of permselectivity. From this result, we can infer that the diffusional pathways for small gases were well created by the incorporation of CNTs. |
