제목 | Effect of Controlled Drug Release of plasticizers by Using Cellulose Acetate and Eudragit RS as a Semipermeable Membrane |
초록 | Drug-delivery systems have previously been developed that release drugs for extended periods by an osmotic pumping mechanism. Such osmotic drug delivery systems are based on osmosis, the diffusion of water across a semipermeable membrane from a solution with a low osmotic pressure to a solution with a high osmotic pressure. To apply for osmotic pump-based drug delivery system, this study has been performed. Controlled porosity of the membrane is accomplished by the use of different channeling agents with excipients in the coating. Drugs were released by a semipermeable membrane drilled with a delivery orifice. Hence, nifedipine(NF) was chosen as a model drug with an aim to develop a controlled release system for a period of 24h. The release effect of drug was accomplished with membrane including each different excipients in vitro. CA(Cellulose acetate) and Eudragit RS were used as the semipermeable membrane. Different channelling agents tried were HPC(hydroxyproxyl cellulose), PEG200(polyethylene glycol 200) TEC(triehtylcitrate), DBP(dibutylphthalate), DBS(dibutylsebacate), DEP(deithylphthalate). Coating solution mixed by meeans of channeling agents and hydrophilic plasticizers was produced each membranes by teflon petri-dish. We confirmed that changed drug release by plasticizer amounts and membrane thickness. Also, We observed membrane images by SEM(Scanning Electron microscope.
